Welding machine bed and annealing process, the secret of long-term stable bending center accuracy

Many sheet metal factories encounter bending angle drift and dimensional deviations that occur after the equipment has been used for a period of time. The core reason is that the residual stress in the machine tool bed is released and deforms.

Masda Bending Center controls the risk of deformation from the manufacturing source of the machine tool body to ensure long-term accuracy and stability of the equipment.

Complete welding structure machine tool processing link

The base and columns of the whole machine are all made of steel plate welded structure. The raw materials entering the factory are strictly inspected for thickness, material and flatness.

After laser cutting, leveling and bevel processing, special fixtures are used for positioning and assembly, and carbon dioxide shielded welding and submerged arc welding are used to complete the complete machine welding. After welding, clean the welding slag, polish the weld, and eliminate surface defects caused by welding.

Post-weld annealing to release internal stress in the fuselage

After the welding is completed, the entire machine frame is sent to the tempering furnace for low-temperature annealing and stress relief treatment, which replaces the traditional natural aging process of castings, fully releases the welding residual stress, and avoids the fuselage deformation caused by post-processing and long-term operation from the source.

The frame is then sandblasted and shot-blasted, and sprayed with anti-rust primer to provide anti-corrosion protection.

Precision machining and strict testing of complete machines

The frame enters the CNC gantry milling machine for rough machining and finishing, and the guide rails and screw rod installation datum surfaces are milled and ground to strictly control the parallelism and verticality of the whole machine.

After the assembly of the whole machine is completed, a full-load load test and continuous running machine re-inspection are carried out. Only when the accuracy reaches the standard is it allowed to leave the factory.

Solid manufacturing technology ensures the long-term bending accuracy of the equipment and reduces customers’ later maintenance costs.
