Masda Bending Machine – Edge Beating Process (upper beating, lower beating and reverse beating)
In sheet metal , edge beating process is a finishing process in which the bending machine flattens the edge of the plate, which is mainly used to strengthen the edge, eliminate burrs or build a closed structure.
Masda CNC bending machine meets diverse needs through three processes: upper beating, lower beating and reverse beating.
Applicable fields: • Chassis cabinet: door panel edge wrapping and ventilation mesh edge reinforcement. • Home appliance housing: smooth edge sealing of refrigerator/washing machine panel. • Electrical installation board: reinforced edge of PCB mounting rail. • Furniture and architecture: flattening of metal table edges and decorative lines. Applicable materials: • Carbon steel plate (SPCC, SECC): most commonly used, good ductility. • Stainless steel (SUS304): requires high-tonnage equipment to prevent surface crushing. • Aluminum plate (5052, 6061): The first choice for lightweight, pay attention to controlling pressure to prevent cracking. • Galvanized plate, copper plate: Suitable for protective or decorative edges. Material thickness: Usually 0.5mm-2.0mm, too thick plate is easy to crack when edge tapping. Core functions: 1. Safety protection: completely eliminate cutting burrs to avoid scratches. 2. Structural reinforcement: edge rigidity is increased by more than 300% (especially reverse edge tapping). 3. Sealing and anti-cutting: forming a smooth closed edge to prevent dust and cut hands. 4. Aesthetics: creating a refined and smooth industrial appearance.
